Tourism HR Canada Partners with TIAO to Empower Future Tourism Talent

Tourism HR Canada is partnering with the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) on the Skills That Travel microsite, a workforce development hub for the tourism sector.

The site offers a curated collection of courses, training pathways, and practical resources to support workers at every stage of their tourism careers, from entry-level to advanced roles. It also highlights the benefits of a career in tourism for prospective job seekers.

Eligible Ontario residents can access training including Emerit eLearning, free of charge until March 30, 2026, or until programs reach capacity.

The initiative brings together regional tourism organizations, Indigenous Tourism Ontario, Destination Northern Ontario, OTEC, and the Hospitality Workers Training Centre, all working to develop a future-ready tourism workforce.
