National Tourism Week Returns
National Tourism Week, led by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, runs from April 20–24 to highlight the economic and cultural importance of tourism across Canada.
The week-long campaign emphasizes tourism as a major economic driver, a source of community vitality, and a connector through meetings, events, sport tourism, and business travel. It also highlights the sector’s role in attracting international spending and promoting cultural pride, including Indigenous-led tourism experiences.
As part of the campaign, Canadians and organizations are encouraged to participate in the social media campaign using #PoweredByTourism and #NationalTourismWeek, and to take the Travel in Canada Pledge to support local destinations.
