Tourism Employment Sees Strong Start to Summer

Canada’s tourism workforce got a significant boost in June 2026, according to Tourism HR Canada’s latest Labour Force Survey Snapshot. Employment increased by more than 120,000 jobs from the previous month, while the tourism labour force grew by over 100,000 workers, reflecting the industry’s seasonal hiring ramp-up. The strongest gains were seen in accommodations and food and beverage services as businesses prepared for the busy summer travel season. The report highlights continued demand for workers across the tourism sector, creating strong employment opportunities for students and recent graduates entering the industry.
