Why did you choose to study travel & tourism?
My passion for human psychology drives me to explore diverse cultures. Travel and tourism serve as the gateway to understanding various cultures, which motivated me to delve into the field to learn more about the world.
What is your greatest professional strength?
I believe that my interpersonal skills are my greatest professional strength.
What’s your dream travel & tourism job?
My ultimate dream is to have my own tour company. In order to learn the ropes, I would like to first become a product manager at a tour company.
In your opinion, what’s the most exciting trend in travel right now and why?
I think that the most exciting trend today is regenerative travel because people are looking to leave a positive impact on destinations.
What is one thing you can’t travel without?
My travel journal is what I can’t travel without, as it is where I capture memories.
How many countries have you visited?
I have not been to many places, but I am looking forward to exploring many. I have travelled to two countries – India and Canada.
Name your favourite travel experience so far:
When I was coming to Canada, my flight was supposed to be on September 3, 2022, but it got cancelled and I was rebooked on September 6, 2022. I arrived in Toronto on September 6 and it was the day when I had my first class on campus. So, I headed directly to Humber College from the airport, and it was the best experience with a mixture of nervousness of being in a new place and happiness of starting my studies.
What’s on your travel bucket list?
I have some of these places in my bucket list: Switzerland, India, Dubai, Thailand, and more to go.
Name your greatest achievement so far:
Moving to a new country (Canada) at the age of 18 all on my own, facing those challenges and successfully completing my post-secondary education is my greatest achievement so far.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself as a product manager of a travel organization or owning my own tour company.
What’s the best OR worst piece of travel advice you’ve received?
The best travel advice I’ve received is, “having no itinerary often is the best travel experience.
