  • Identify the industry’s freshest talent.
  • Connect them with industry leaders.
  • And empower the next generation of travel high fliers.

Applicants are judged on academics, interest in the field and the ability to represent the travel industry. The winners can expect to attend industry events, be featured in a Travel Courier profile and receive a significant prize from one of our partner sponsors.

Starting with Humber College which launched the program in January and expanding to other colleges in Fall 2015, Baxter Travel Media looks to continue its legacy of leadership in the industry by showcasing young talent and ensuring their place in a quickly expanding industry.

Kevin Smith, MBA, program coordinator, Tourism Management School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism at Humber College, commented, “The Baxter Student Ambassador Program is one of the key touch points for Humber College’s Tourism Management program to connect aspiring travel and tourism professionals to the industry.”

And Smith continued, “We believe this unique partnership ensures that students not only learn the theory behind the travel industry but also gain real world experience to help them enter and excel across the tourism sector.”

The first Baxter Student Ambassador designation will be awarded to a graduating 4th semester student at Humber College and they will receive a trip for two to Paris, complete air and hotel, courtesy of Transat.
