The Sustainable Hospitality Challenge (SHC), an initiative run by Hotelschool The Hague, is bringing together over 75 universities from around the world for the competition’s 2025 edition.

The SHC sets students the task of creating and presenting sustainable innovations in hospitality, and this year will feature a new model of two tracks: impact, focused on combining sustainability, guest experience, and financial feasibility; and inspiration, combining storytelling and social sustainability.

The challenge has become a global stage not only for students to share their innovations, but to network and collaborate with hospitality industry leaders. 

Teams will present their solutions at the WTTC Global Summit in September 2025 in Rome, Italy and FHS World in October 2025 in Dubai, UAE.
