Four words to describe my travel style…: Adventurous on an agenda – I like to explore new places, but most of the exploring needs to be decided on ahead of time. I’m not overly spontaneous when I’m in new places.
I chose to study travel and tourism because…: I knew I wanted to travel, and only a few weeks into college I had fallen in love with everything that the tourism industry had to offer.
The most exciting travel trend right now is…: Solo leisure travel with companies like Contiki who are offering more and more tours for solo travellers. People want to travel when they have the time, whether their friends/family have the same vacation time or not.
My favourite travel experience so far has been…: By far, New York City. The lights and hustle-bustle of the city swept me off my feet.
On my bucket list is…: I’d absolutely love to do a cross-Canada road trip from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. Our country has so much to offer, I feel like I should see coast to coast before I travel too much anywhere else.
The best piece of travel advice I’ve received is…: Roll my clothes instead of fold them in my suitcase to save space; that’s easily the best travel advice I’ve received to date.
