Canada Summer Jobs Program Opens with 100,000 Positions Available

The federal government has opened the 2026 Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) hiring period, with up to 100,000 summer jobs expected to be available for youth across the country. The program provides wage subsidies to employers hiring Canadians aged 15–30 for summer employment.

The expanded program is welcome news for the tourism and hospitality industry as businesses continue to focus on seasonal recruitment and workforce retention ahead of the busy summer season.

Youth can search available opportunities through the Government of Canada Job Bank youth portal.
